Description

Kent’s hunger for reform and social justice are evident in this print, which combines the biblical with the political. "Open wide" is used in Psalm 24:9—"Open wide…that the King of Glory may enter in"—as well as in a speech given by President Lyndon B. Johnson, in which he exhorted the audience to "Open wide the exits from poverty to the children of the poor."
