Bio

Kitao Masanobu fashioned himself as the superb connoisseur of the pleasure quarters through his painted and printed portratis of courtesans and through his novels, such as the tongue-in-cheek Edo umare uwaki no kabayaki (Playboy, Roasted Edo-style), written under the pseudonym Santô Kyôden.
