Bio

While still a student at the Museum Art School, Bue Kee received the first Carey Prize in 1929. For the Federal Art Project, Kee produced ceramic centerpieces for Timberline Lodge and Tongue Point Naval Air Station. He later worked with Lydia Herrick Hodge at the Oregon Ceramic Studio to develop unique glazes and designs for vessels and tableware. Kee also painted portraits, still lifes, and city scenes.
