Bio

Dorothy Gilbert studied at Portland's Museum Art School and the Art Students League in New York. She exhibited at the Portland Art Museum and the Seattle Art Museum and was a charter member of the Oregon Society of Artists. Her husband, Floyd Wilson, accompanied her on a move to New York City. Gilbert's entry in a Portland Art Museum exhibit of contemporary American painters in 1929 occurred after their move east.
